Beyond the Horizon
For more than thirty years, God has been faithful.
​
Through seasons of prayer, obedience, and sacrifice, He has used JAMA—Jesus Awakening Movement for America and all nations—to raise up Spirit-filled, competent leaders: men and women called to serve the Church, influence culture, and walk faithfully in their God-given callings.
This calling was first stewarded through the faithful leadership of our founder, Dr. John C. Kim, and it continues today through those who carry this shared vision forward. Dr. Kim was always looking “beyond the horizon: to the future God was shaping. Today, JAMA carries that same vision forward, forming and sending a new generation of Christ-centered leaders committed to renewal in the Church, in the public sphere, and to the nations.

For the past 8 years, JAMA has called East Texas home. From this place, JAMA has been called to serve this region and all of Texas. Cultivating leaders deeply formed with a biblical worldview, prayer, and community, and then sending them back into their local churches, workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods with clarity of calling and conviction.​​​

The Beyond the Horizon Banquet is an evening set apart to give thanks.
​
This gathering is our way of honoring the East Texas community, along with partners, alumni, and friends from across Texas and beyond, who have prayed with us, stood with us, and believed in what God has been building here. Together, we will reflect on God’s faithfulness, listen to stories of lives transformed, and lift our eyes toward what He is continuing to build locally, across our state, and outward to the nations.

As we pause to remember, we will also look ahead with faith, discerning together what lies beyond the horizon, and how God may continue to use this place as a launching ground for leaders who will carry the name of Jesus into the Church, our nation, and the world.
