May is the Month of Prayer

Dear Friends and Partners,

Something is stirring.

On May 7, JAMA will join tens of thousands of gatherings across America for the 75th National Day of Prayer. Here in East Texas, we will gather local pastors, civic leaders, and intercessors to pray over our region and our nation — united under this year's theme: "Glorify God Among the Nations — Seeking Him in All Generations" (1 Chronicles 16:24).

Ten days later, on May 17, millions will gather on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. for "Rededicate 250" — a national call to prayer and rededication of America as one nation under God.

Two gatherings. One heart. His Kingdom.

For 32 years, JAMA has prayed 2 Chronicles 7:14 over this nation:

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

We have never been interested in where awakening comes from, only that it comes.

And now, in this 250th year of our nation, we are watching something remarkable: the cry is spreading.

From the National Mall to East Texas. From Washington to your living room. From massive gatherings to quiet prayer closets. Wherever God's people humble themselves, seek His face, and turn, our God hears. He heals.

This is not about any one ministry, movement, or leader. This is about His Kingdom coming, His will being done, on earth as it is in heaven.

JAMA is honored to be one small part of what God is doing. On May 7, we will gather here in East Texas, faithful to our region, lifting our voices with the nation. And we celebrate that on May 17, the nation will join the cry we have been praying for 32 years.

Thank you for standing with us, not to build JAMA's kingdom, but to pray for His and for the healing of America.
